TYSKEGÅRDS' LOCATION
QUIET AND CENTRAL AT THE SAME TIME
Tyskegård is located in the east of Bornholm, 800 m above the small, enchanted fishing village of Aarsdale and 2 km from Svaneke. A harbor sauna right by the water invites you to take a sauna and you can hop into the sea between sauna sessions. In “Høkkeren” you will find all the necessary organic food. You can have a delicious ice cream or drink on the small harbor terrace. And if you want a little more hustle and bustle, the Danish brewery Mikkeller is the place for you. There you can have a sundowner and one of the sensational burgers right on the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In 2 km to the north is probably the most beautiful town of Bornholm, Svaneke. With its picturesque old town center with half-timbered houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, the beautiful harbor, small cafes, ice cream parlors, bars and restaurants, you can let yourself go wonderfully.
To the south comes Nexø after 5 km. There you will find all the necessary shopping opportunities. Halfway there is what we believe to be the best Røgeri on the island (Nexø Gamle Røgeri, 2.5 km).
The next large sandy beaches in the south are 10-15 minutes by car from Tyskegaard. Aarsdale and Svaneke also have small sandy beaches.
From Tyskegard you can start wonderful bike tours in the immediate vicinity. The bike path leads past our farm in the immediate vicinity. In total, you have more than 220 km of cycle routes on the island. You can also start a wonderful hike on the coastal path towards Svaneke or Nexø within walking distance.
2 km west of Tyskegård is Paradisbakkerne, which is part of the large Almindinger forest. With an extensive network of hiking and cycling trails, this is the perfect place if you want to be active.
