QUIET AND CENTRAL AT THE SAME TIME
Tyskegård is located in eastern Bornholm, 800 meters above the small, enchanting fishing village of Aarsdale and 2 kilometers from Svaneke. A harbor sauna right on the water invites you to unwind, and you can even jump into the sea between sauna sessions. At "Høkkeren," you'll find all the organic groceries you need. On the small harbor terrace, you can enjoy a delicious ice cream or a drink. And if you're looking for a bit more excitement, the Danish brewery Mikkeller is the place for you. There, you can enjoy a sundowner and one of their sensational burgers right on the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Two kilometers north lies Svaneke, arguably Bornholm's most beautiful town. With its picturesque old town center featuring half-timbered houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, a beautiful harbor, small cafes, ice cream parlors, bars, and restaurants, you can simply let yourself go.
Heading south, Nexø is 5 km away. There you'll find all the necessary shopping facilities. Halfway there is what we consider to be the best Røgeri on the island (Nexø Gamle Røgeri, 2.5 km).
The nearest large sandy beaches in the south are a 10-15 minute drive from Tyskegaard. Aarsdale and Svaneke also offer smaller sandy beaches.
From Tyskegard, you can embark on wonderful bike rides into the surrounding area. The bike path runs right past our farm. In total, there are more than 220 km of bike paths available on the island. You can also start a wonderful hike along the coastal path towards Svaneke or Nexø within walking distance.
Two kilometers west of Tyskegård is Paradisbakkerne, part of the large Almindinger Forest. With an extensive network of hiking and cycling trails, this is the perfect place for outdoor activities.
